A short film about my visit to the Battlefields of the Somme in March 2010, where I visited Saint Valery sur Somme, the Historial de la Grande Guerre, Peronne, the Somme 1916 Museum at Albert, the enormous Lochnagar Crater at La Boiselle, which was blown out of the ground by 27 tonnes of munitions buried underground. The culmination was the visit the Franco British Memorial at Thiepval, which honours the unknown dead of not only the French and British, but also the South African, Indian, Antipodean, north American and other fallen.
