We got the OK to enter the property we rented in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. It was evident on the ride in the devastation Hurricane Irene has caused for some families.

Because where we are more north on the Outer Banks, the damage wasn't so bad. We are gonna try to drive south today or tomorrow to see where the most damage occurred and see if they need any help for a day. They are allowing residents back into Duck as of today.

Update: So today while we were out and about, we were informed that the area we went through was called Columbia and it was a tornado that hit it just prior to the hurricane coming.
