Dumb and Dumber 2 will start production in September and we have the details!

Last summer, ComingSoon.net broke the news that Jim Carrey was in talks with The Farrelly brothers to develop a sequel to their 1994 film Dumb and Dumber. Then we found out that Sean Anders and John Morris had come aboard to provide the screenplay. And now we learn that the sequel is in fact coming and we can expect filming to start later this year.

Peter Farrelly was at the stooges junket and dished on the sequel, he said, "We're getting set to shoot 'Dumb and Dumber 2' in September...It's the first sequel we've ever done and we've got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back."

While we are all used to a certain cumb and dumber, Peter Farrelly stresses that this is something very different in this outing...he said, "We did not do 'Dumb and Dumberer...That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. "
