Biography of Shaykh Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Marzooq al-Banna by Abdulilah Lahmami - PART 1/8
An excellent talk delivered by our brother Abdulilah Lahmami, who is currently residing in Madinah and is a student of Sheikh Ubayd al-Jaabiree (hafihudullah) and also Shaykh Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Marzooq al-Banna (hafihudullah) amongst others.
As for Shaykh Muhammad Abdulwahhab Marzooq al-Banna (hafihudullah) - the Shaykh was born in 1916, 1333h a year or two after Shaykh al-Albaani and Shaykh Bin Baz rahimahumallaah. Now the shaykh is 92 years old (gregorian calender) but 95 in the hijri calender. Indeed Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna is from the old school salafi scholars and has knowledge of these affairs.
Shaykh Mohammad Al-Banna is a former teacher at the Islamic University of Madeenah and ex-colleague of Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Baz, Shaykh ul-Islaam Al-Albaanee, and the Shaykh had taught many of the scholars alive today such as Shaykh Rabee' al-Madkhali, Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad and the likes of Shaykh Muhammad Amman (rahimahullaah) from those that died. Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna used to teach in Masjid an-Nabawi where he had a seat giving lessons. The Shaykh told our brother Abdulilah Lahmami that Shaykh al-Albaani who was his neighbour in Madinah also used to attend regularly. In fact sitting with the Shaykh is indeed a history lesson.
Oh Allah give us ability to be like our Salaf in this world and raise us among Salaf of this ummah on the Day of Judgement. Truely You are hearer of our Duaas. Aameen.
