Percy Vickery plays cinema organ Skaters Waltz by Waldteufel






Percy Vickery was a cinema organist in the 1930s and a founder member of the EOCS He mostly played the Christie at Waltham Cross but played Wurlitzers including Leicester Square and when it came for him to design his electronic instrument for home, he knew exactly the sounds he wanted to achieve. When he died last year at 90 he left his instrument to Hammerwood Park in Sussex where organists are welcome to practice and perform.
