If you don't see the FLELE pop up try looking at the bottom RIGHT of your screen, and a little gray button will appear and Miku won't. Right click it and choose a shell, and it should open. If not, then I have no idea. D':

"i was finaly able to get mine working. i needed to install the East asian Language thing you find in your control panel, then in Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options, add languages, then go into the languages tab and check the box that says install files for east asian languages.. hope this helps you help other poeple with the same problem i had"

I'm getting crap loads of comments saying that the ghost is not working. EX: Not playing your music files and no bubble is popping up saying "PLAY".
Hint: not even I use this that often. I like iTunes more, honestly. So sometimes what I do is click on the FLELE, then press ctrl+T and choose 25 in the middle column. It makes it LOOK like she's singing! Then just play iTunes or something. ^^;

It never hit me until I got a comment saying you needed Japanese on your computer that this might be the problem. This can be done by going to your control panel, then the language/region section, changing your keyboard input methods, and adding Japanese.
Google Japanese IME for more details on how to install.
You might need the OS disk to install it.

Miku can also play VOCALOID files, so I've heard, that show the lyrics in a speech bubble.
