There are options to change your swing difficulty in case you get frustrated with it.

Putting:
Precision putting mode - putting by feel
Putt preview off,
Putt power meter off,
Course:
Hard (making the greens speed faster, rough difficulties even more penalizing if you hit from anything other than fairway, and wind conditions are stronger and have more effect on the ball)
