Happy first day of Fall 2011 today! I brought home 4 bales of straw from the local feed store for RonRon my pet red fox to have fun with, since he enjoyed the straw so much last year! Last time, it was an idea to keep the ground from getting too muddy, with all the fresh topsoil on the surface without any grass on it. However, Ron just went bonkers playing, digging, nomming, pouncing on, crashing into the straw piles!

eee! sooo many foxy pounces!! He just can't resisting POUNCING when I put my hand under some straw... his brain tells him GET IT GET IT! it must be a mouse under there!!

Ron is a pet red fox I bought from a licensed exotic animal breeder, in Oklahoma, captive-bred and hand-raised. My state of Arkansas allows pet foxes without any permit needed.
He enjoys a large outdoor habitat and also a small indoor caged spot in my living room. Foxes are said to make 'bad' pets, but I would rather say foxes make wonderful pets!... just rather destructive, moody pets, NOT FOR CHILDREN.
