Rutherford's rainbow series and claiming inspiration from God

From 1921 upto 1941 the Judge Joseph F. Rutherford, the second president of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, wrote a series of 21 books known today as the "Rainbow series" because of the colorful covers he gave them. In many of these books he made extravagant claims of inspiration and these are what this video will focus on. For example :

-This is simply because God's plan could not be understood until his due time to reveal it. ... his due time is here! (He claims that no one throughout Bible history has ever understood God's plan untill Rutherford wrote his books revealing it - thus being inspired to reveal it)

-What is set forth in the following pages is "Not the expressed opinion of man"

-Never before has there been a book published that makes clear so much of the prophecies of the Bible as this book. The author claims no credit therefore.

-No credit is due and none should be given to any man for what appears herein.

-It seemed pleasing to Jehovah to set forth in this volume the explanation of both of such books (Ruth and Esther).
