Arn - Tempelridderen / Arn - The Templar is the first of two epic fims about the swedish crusader Arn Magnusson, based on Jan Guillous popular novel-trilogy. The production is the biggest in Scandinavian history!


In the year 1150 Arn Magnusson is born on "Arnäs" farm in Western Goetaland. He grows up in a monastery where is thought latin, math and fighting. In Cecilia he meets the love of his life, a love that makes them a victim in the struggle between strong forces. While Cecilia goes to pay in a women monastery, Arn serves as a templar in the holy land where the war between the christians and the muslims rage fiercely. When Arn finally returns home, he must fight for his love and for his biggest goal in life, to unify his land to one strong unified kingdom.

The story blends fiction and actual historical facts, real people from this time. The movie contains clips from Sweden as well as the Middle-East and offers a rich gallery of knights, strong queens and deceitfull kings - an epic hero-saga about war and intrigues, friendship and bertrayal and the biggest of all, love.
