I left my computer games aside for too long so here's a whole new 'chronicles' with the papal states.
How do you play the papal states u ask?
go to
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
choose descr_strat and cut/paste papal states to playable factions
Make sure u only put papal states in playable factions and not mongols or aztecs.

I uploaded save file who were taken at the beginning of each campaign for each difficulty (campaign and battle are the same difficulty) You can find them here:
